Transformers 3 comes out in a little over a year.

In the last Transformers movie, to me, one line stuck out:

"If God made us, then who made them?"

Does that mean they will play the Primus/Unicron angle?

Transformers 3 was neither the best thing or the worst thing.

The first movie is the best, IMHO.

I don't think Mike Bay is doing anymore of these, so maybe someone with a different vision will take over.

BTW: I do look forward to the new GI Joe movie.

I read that apparently Bay is making a Transformers 4, but will star a new human cast.

Mark Wahlberg is going to have the lead.

So I guess he will be Spike?

Maybe this will help to bring some life back into the movie franchise... nothing against the third one... but IMO, the first one had the best feel.

Okay so... I don't know if anyone here watches the Superbowl, but a clip for TF:4 was shown...

SPOILER

Looks like we are going to have some serious Dinobot action.

Prime appeared to be riding on top of a giant sized Grimlock.

Also Swoop was there as well.

Prime himself had a makeover... looked 'sleeker' and was wielding a sword.

Bumblebee looked much the same.

Couldn't figure out the plot... but I'm excited... most excited I've been since the first film; growing up we all loved the Dinobots.

I just hope they have a good origin for them. The Gen 1 cartoon was okay - inspired by stories of dinosaurs and having found fossils, they built dinobots... never explained how they were given life, but okay.

In the comic Teletran 1 brought them online during the age of dinosaurs to fight Shockwave... okay, but it was established that the computer did not recognize organic life as life... and if the computer had enough reserve power to reanimate 5 transformers, you'd think one would have been Optimus.

Whatever

Excited, just hope Bay and company don't ruin the Dinobots... tis the danger with such ventures.

Plot? In a Michael Bay movie? Anyone who is going to see this for any reason other than explosions and giant robot beating the snot out of each other deserves to be disappointed. I will, of course, be there day one. Optimus riding Grimlock Dino-Riders style? Hell yes!

Frankly, with Bay directing both Transformers 4 and the new TMNT movie, I think there are makings of a crossover that could only have been dreamt of in the 80's.

Plot? Yeah not so much in this film.

I was wondering what the explanation for the dinosaur forms would be... there was no explanation (sigh).

Just thinking about this film gives me a headache. Such a shame given the promise it had.

In conclusion - meh.

Transformers 5 is coming out this year. Not that excited about it given the last couple. Will watch it, just maybe not at the movies. I am looking forward to Guardians 2, Wonder Woman, Spiderman and Last Jedi.

Maybe they will soon apply the Beauty and Beast live action Beast technology to Thundercats... that would be awesome, though they'd probably find a way to mess up Thundercats... maybe it's best left unmade...
